GAMAR'S ETHIC
GIVING BACK:
I believe abundance is better when shared, and when given back to the planet and people who enrich life. Beginning in 2025, I will donate 5% of all online sales to support female-led environmental initiatives, as well as to support opportunities for underprivileged women in the arts.
Having worked for over 18 years in the environmental and humanitarian field, I have personal connection with many meaningful projects around the world. I am currently in the process of setting up partnerships with such projects, which align with the theme of my designs and where I know the donated funds will have the most impact. One such project, for example, will be supporting female-led work to research and revive native bee (melipona) populations in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Stay tuned for more info on the projects and women your purchases help support!
ETHICS & SUSTAINABILITY:
All Gamar pieces are made from recycled gold and silver and use ethically-sourced gemstones. Packaging boxes are made from recycled paper. The small, family-run 3-generation manufacturer I work with runs 50% of its operations with solar-power and contributes to educational fees for local girls. It is a registered member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, committed to ethical, responsible, human rights and environmental best practices throughout its supply chain and business activities and in compliance with RJC COP 2019.
